Mount Olympus is a mythical place, associated to the presence of the ancient gods! Hence it remained in the imagination as a place of light, which is also the meaning of its name. But above anything else, Mount Olympus is a mountain of stunning natural beauty, with unique flora and fauna. Its position, right on the Pierian coast of the Aegean Sea makes it a place of encounter between alpine heights and Mediterranean mildness!
Starting from Litochoro, we will follow one of the most enchanting paths of Mount Olympus, the Enipeas gorge, following the flow of the Enipeas river. Clear, visible paths and small wooden bridges over the crystaline waters make it an enchanting experience to hike until the Prionia, midway to the top.
Alternatively, for those who wish to enjoy Mount Olympus with considerably less physical effort, instead of Litochoro we depart at 08:00 and arrive at St. Dionysius monastery. Following a 2-hour hike we arrive at Prionia. Time at leisure and on the way to Thessaloniki short stop at Litochoro.

Following the Enipeas gorge you will enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes Mount Olympus has to offer: small lakes along the flow of the Enipeas river, green forests on the slopes of the mountain, a stunning panoramic view over the coast on Olympus’ foothills!
Although Mount Olympus is not a demanding mountain to hike and the Enipeas gorge follows a marked trail, it still requires some physical skills and a good physical condition. Comfortable clothing and walking shoes, if not properly hiking gear, are strongly advised for this tour.
07:00 Departure from Thessaloniki
08:30 Arrival at Litochoro and departure along the trail.
12:00 (approx.) Arrival at old S. Dionysius monastery.
14:00 Arrival at Prionia, half way to the summits. End of hike. Time at leisure and lunch in local tavern (not included).
15:30 Departure to Thessaloniki.
17:00 Return to Thessaloniki.
